Submission guidelines


To submit an abstract, please create an account. 

 

There are three submission categories:

 

  • Oral presentations: oral presentations will last 20 minutes (with an additional 10 minutes for discussion with the audience). They provide an opportunity to share research findings.
  • Symposiums
  • Posters

 

Oral presentations last 20 minutes (plus 10 minutes for discussion with the audience). They provide an opportunity to share research findings or the implementation of a mental health prevention, promotion, or treatment program. Each proposal must include the following information :

 

  • The author(s) and affiliations
  • A title
  • Two to three learning objectives
  • An abstract of 300 words maximum
  • Two to four references
  • Symposia last 90 minutes and contain 3 to 4 oral presentations on the same theme (3 to 4 researchers and a moderator chosen by the symposium organizers). Each proposal must include the following information

  • The organizer(s) and affiliations
  • The title of the symposium
  • Three to four learning objectives
  • A maximum 300-word abstract for the symposium
  • A maximum of five references
  • The title of each presentation (between three and four presentations)
  • The author(s) of each presentation and affiliation
  • An abstract of 200 to 250 words for each presentation

For posters, each proposal must include the following information:

  • The author(s) and affiliations
  • A title
  • One to three learning objectives
  • An abstract of no more than 250 words
  • Two to four references

 

We invite researchers, students, practitioners, organizations, and community leaders to submit their proposals. Submissions may include quantitative and qualitative studies, case studies, evaluation, prevention, promotion, and intervention programs in Black communities in Canada, North America, Europe and other countries where Black people are a minority, as well as experiences with the health system and treatment.
